Our purpose:
To bless and comfort those in need of healing
To enable the person receiving the prayer shawl to encounter God's love in a tangible way
To encompass the person with God's embracing love,
His comfort and compassion,
Hid peace and tenderness,
His nurturing to envelop them,
His abundant blessings.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry has been going at Living Waters Church since June, 2006 and we have made over 420 shawls as of our 4th year anniversary, June, 2010. Each shawl has been lovingly made and prayed over and those who receive the shawls continue to be held in prayer. The shawl is meant to symbolize the love and embrace of God. The response from those who have received the shawls has been wonderful.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on the first Thursday of every month in the library at Living Waters Church at 7:00 PM. New members are welcome. Come and enjoy the fellowship as we knit or crochet the shawls and pray over them.
